RENDERING
This new technology raised up in the last decade, simultaneously with the graphics processors performances increasing. It allows the making of objects and ambients representations, generated by math algorithms and 3D CAD models. Furthermore, it is possible to mix real photography with virtual images, placing existing settings and objects in the scene, adjusting lights and shadows so that the observer cannot distinguish the artificial operation.
It turns out to be particularly useful when you do not have the physical product, as it is still in the design phase or to have a rather faithful preview, before it is prototyped or completely finished. In the automotive and industrial product fields, photorealistic rendering represents a valid aid to the analysis of the actual quality of the surfaces of the project.
